Vinayaka Chaturthi (विनायक चतुर्थी) is the fourth lunar day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase), observed monthly in honor of Lord Ganesha. Its occurrence in Bhadrapada month is celebrated as the major festival Ganesh Chaturthi.
